Yes, this place is touristy. But honestly, it’s still a lot of fun and worth a stop. Wish I was able to climb the tower to the top but my IT band was giving me a lot of issues. Full review by NeoAxion

You will not need long to see the Pisa and it’s famous tower. It was a short walk over from the parking lot, around d the ancient city walls, past lots of restaurants and numerous vendor stalls. Unf… Full review by Cheryl G

I can only answer this on a personal level: each attraction was different offering its own set of "wow" factors. If you only have time for 1, naturally, go for the Tower. However, we got the package and was happy we did. Time? I would allow at least 3 hours to sufficiently explore not only the Baptistery, but the Church, the Tower, and there is a Duomo Museum opposite the Square worth investigating. And depending on your tolerance for crowds (mine is very low), I'd suggest getting there during the first opening time slot. By mid-afternoon it was unbearable. Touring early then allows you time to have lunch and enjoy wandering around the city. I hope this helps. K
