Temple fires third-year coach Stan Drayton, who never had a winning season
Temple has fired coach Stan Drayton after losing records in all three of his seasons. Drayton went 9-25 overall and 4-18 in the American Athletic Conference. He was fired a day after Temple beat Florida Atlantic 18-15 on a field goal in overtime.
Stan Drayton will not return at Temple
Stan Drayon will not return as Temple's head coach, the program announced Sunday. In his third season with the Owls, Drayton went 9-25 overall and 3-18 in AAC play. The Owls went 3-9 (1-7 AAC) in 2022 and '23, and sit at 3-7 following an 18-15 overtime win over Florida Atlantic on Saturday.
