On November 8, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced the Medicare premiums and costs for 2025. Let’s take a quick look at what you need to know.

Currently, Medicare Part A enrollees pay a $1,632 inpatient hospital deductible. In 2025, that deductible is rising to $1,676. Meanwhile, that Part A deductible only covers the first 60 days of a hospital stay. From there, a daily coinsurance rate starts to apply.

Medicare Part B premiums will rise in 2025, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced. The standard monthly premium for Part B services will increase by $10.30 in 2025 to a new total of $185. That’s an increase of about 5.9%, similar to the premium hike Medicare beneficiaries saw this year.
