Temple University and Stan Drayton are parting ways with just two weeks to go in the 2024 college football season.

Temple football coach Stan Drayton was fired Sunday after nearly three seasons on the job. The move comes one day following the Owls' 18-15 overtime victory against FAU.

Athletic director Arthur Johnson said "Our expectation is to compete for American Athletic Conference titles." The Owls were 9-25 in 34 games under Drayton.

Stan Drayon will not return as Temple's head coach, the program announced Sunday. In his third season with the Owls, Drayton went 9-25 overall and 3-18 in AAC play. The Owls went 3-9 (1-7 AAC) in 2022 and '23, and sit at 3-7 following an 18-15 overtime win over Florida Atlantic on Saturday.
