The Chicago Bulls saw the return of point guard Lonzo Ball to the NBA floor this season after years of setbacks injury-wise. However, it was fairly short-lived. Ball suffered a wrist injury and has been trying to get back on the court. He was originally supposed to be out for a short time but the Bulls have learned the hard way with Ball.

Ball got through dribbling drills the last few days, and before the game Wednesday against the Knicks, he was putting up shots. Those were two big hurdles he needed to clear, but he's not close to being out of the woods yet,

Ball hoped to return from a sprained right wrist Sunday, but shooting drills before the Bulls' game Wednesday in New York changed those hopes quickly. Coach Billy Donovan said it will be at least another week before Ball can think about a return.

Billy Donovan said Lonzo Ball was targeting Friday or Sunday for his return. While Donovan didn’t rule it out, he did say it may be optimistic. Ball hasn’t done much other than dribbling to this point.
