Sonic 3 star Jim Carrey has said he's "open to the idea" of returning for Sonic 4, after coming out of retirement for the latest movie.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 marked the return of Jim Carrey after the actor previously claimed that he would likely be retiring from the industry. He didn't just return to play Ivo Robotnik, however, but also took on another role in the form of Gerald Robotnik, Ivo's grandfather and creator of Shadow the Hedgehog.

With each movie in the line, Carrey has shown more depth and layers to Dr. Eggman while also embracing the look of the legendary video game villain. It’s truly a match made in heaven.
