President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has welcomed the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, to Nigeria on his first official visit. Tinubu disclosed this in a statement through his official X handle on Sunday.

The Indian Minister, Narendra Modi, has arrived at the Presidential Villa, Abuja to hold bilateral talks with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday, November 17.

Abuja: India accords high priority to its strategic partnership with Nigeria and it will work towards boosting ties in a range of areas, including defence, energy and trade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said during his talks with Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday.

Mr Modi arrived in Abuja for the bilateral agreement that Mr Tinubu said will enhance “mutual respects and a shared mission.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently in Nigeria, visiting the country, as part of a three-nation tour to strengthen ties between India and Nigeria. In this tour the PM Modi would also be visiting Brazil and Guyana.
